Potimarron (TL) is a variety of Winter squash ~Cucurbita maxima~ orang/red in colour and is spherical shaped. It is a French heirloom variety whose name means chestnut pumpkin, referring to its delicate flavour. (R) Sweet Dumpling ~Cucurbita pepo~ has attractive green patterning on a yellow to cream ground. Round with lobes it can be eaten raw or cooked. The flattish Jack be Little (BL), another ~Cucurbita pepo~ variety is a bright orange, known as an acorn squash.
